January Campout – AOL Crossover (01/10/25 – 01/12/25). Our Crossover Ceremony was at Heard Scout Pueblo. Two AOL (Arrow of Light) Scouts crossed over from Pack 531 to our Troop. Welcome Landon Rocha and Kosal Praveenkumar!

Scouting for Food - (01/25/2025). Every year Troop 531, takes part in BSA Scouting for Food event. We break into separate patrols and hand out flyers over different neighborhoods for food donations. On February 2nd, we will pick up food and deliver it to a local food shelter.

Scout Sunday - (02/02/2025). Every year Troop 531 takes part in BSA Scout Sunday. Scout Sunday happens right after the pickup for Scouting for Food. During this event, all the Scouts go to church, help out, and participate in the service. This year we had Scouts serve as ushers and greeters at Valley Life Tramonto.

Silver Beaver Award: Mr. Jess Rankin (02/08/25). Mr. Rankin (Our first Scout Master for our Troop) was the recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. The National Court of Honor recognizes registered Scouters who have made a significant impact on the youth at the council level through leadership, committee work, and statewide events. Consideration includes training courses, Scouting honors, and exceptional service to youth both within and outside of Scouting, along with the nominee’s community standing. Congratulations Mr. Rankin!

Sled Building (02/10/2025). Our Troop meet at Paloma Park to build sleds for the Winter Klondike campout. We built a total of 5 sleds.

February Campout – Winter Klondike (02/21/25 – 02/23/25). Our February Campout was at Camp Raymond, our scouts participated in Winter Klondike ran by our Grand Canyon Council. Our scouts participated in several different activities, like sled race, donkey toss, first aid activities, hatchet throwing, played horseshoes, make flapjacks, and other games.
